Helen L. Hodges Wootton, received her angel wings and went to walk the streets of gold with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2021. She was born December 14, 1928.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Wootton; parents, Herman and Gladis Hodges; sons, Timothy and Ricky Wootton; brother, Haward Hodges; grandson, Trampas Wootton and great grandson, Sammy Meinrod.

She leaves behind two sons, Leslie "Legs" Wootton and wife, Gaye and Mark E. Wootton; brother, Oscar Hodges; grandchildren, Megan Wootton Reeves, Sarah Wootton, Kelli Jo Wootton, Lisa Wootton Delancey and Luke Wootton; great grandchildren, Alyssa Hooks, Hannah Reeves, Chance Hooks, Josey Meinrod, Hali Wootton, Paige and Kody Delancey; Numerous relatives, friends and her Oak Hill Baptist Church family.

Angels walk among us and we send our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Summit Health in Taylor, Arkansas.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plain Dealing, Louisiana with Bro. Kevin Hathorn officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home.
