Hilda Rose Ford, age 85 of Hope Arkansas formerly from Denham Springs, LA, passed away on August 13,2026, at Heather Manor Nursing Home in Hope, Arkansas.

Hilda Ford was born on March 21, 1941, in Oakdale, LA, to her parents Willie Quave and Rose Ella McHenry Quave. She enjoyed working in her yard and more than anything she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, James Estus Sampson; and sisters Elizabeth Quave Burks and Nora Mae Quave Mason; and two nieces Brenda Mason and Beverly Ann Burks.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Walker, LA. She was an active member and taught many Sunday school and Sunbeams classes throughout her life. She loved her Lord and all her children and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, Lynn Kimbell, Susan Porter, Sheila Dickson, Carol Gardner, Beth Biedenharm and Galinda Kay Hudson, Jim Monk and Joe Monk, whom she loved and cared for as if they were her own.

A special thank you goes to the Heather Manor Nursing Home for the awesome care. After her move to Arkansas we would like to give a loving thank you to her friends Bert and Luther Edwards, Sylvia Graves, Gina Higgins and many others for always calling and checking on her.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
