Mrs. Irene Butler

January 1, 1931 – June 2, 2021

Mrs. Irene Butler 90 of Kansas City Kansas, formerly of Bradley passed away peacefully at her home on June 2, 2021.  She was a very active member of St. Paul Baptist in Bradley until her health started to fail and she moved to Kansas City, Kansas in March 2013.  She was a homemaker, who loved her children and grandchildren as well as fishing, sewing, cooking, canning, gardening and traveling.

Mrs. Butler was born January 1, 1930 to Mr. Floyd Lee Williams Sr. and Mrs. Josephine Williamson – Williams in Shepherd Arkansas.

She married Mr. Nelson Butler very early in life and remained married until his death in 1996, also preceding her in death were both of her parents, children, Robert L. Butler, Floyd L. Butler, Susie M. Butler, her four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by four sons, Mr. Paul D. Butler of Bradley, Arkansas, Frank and Lindsey R. Butler both of Los Angeles and Jessie R. Butler of Kansas City Kansas.  Seven daughters, Martha A. Butler of Kansas City Missouri, Florida M. Williams of Bradley, Arkansas, Dianne Steen and Ruthie L. Williams of Kansas City, Kansas, Glenda A. Butler of Springhill, Louisiana, Linda J. Cline of Tacoma Washington and Aretha Jones of Merriam Kansas.  She had 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren as well as a host of people around the Bradley community who loved and respected her.

Funeral service will be held at St. Paul Baptist Church in Bradley Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 am with interment at St. Mary's Cemetery immediately after the funeral Service.

Visitation will be at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 223 North Pilot Street
Bradley, AR 71826 Friday June 18, 2021 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Services will be under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home and staff
