J.W. Foster, age 86, passed away on June 24, 2023. He was born May 11, 1937, in the Pleasant Grove Community near Stamps, Arkansas to Columbus and Lillie (Wheelington) Foster. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and married his lifelong sweetheart, Imogene (Fowler) on December 22, 1956. Mr. Foster worked at David Bright's Gulf Station as a teenager and later at Alan White Company for 33 years. He was a member of the Lone Pine Deer Club for many years, loved to take care of his cattle, hunt, fish, trips to trout fish at Rock Bridge, Missouri, enjoyed watching grandkids and great grandkids play ball and show animals.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Wesley Dewayne "Big D" Foster and Michael Don Foster; sister, Johnnie Lou Minter; and grandson, Justin Foster.

Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 66 years, Imogene Foster of Stamps, AR, daughter, Denise Hurd of Stamps, AR; brother, Jimmy Carrol Foster of Stamps, AR, grandchildren, Shana Downs, Matt Foster, Michelle Perkison, Scott Hurd; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 2:00p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR, with Brother Adam Rogers, officiating, under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, AR.

Visitation will be Monday, June 26, 2023, from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
