Mr. Jackie L. Cheatham
March 30, 1957 – August 10, 2021
Mr. Jackie L. Cheatham, 64 of Mineral Springs, Arkansas passed away Tuesday August 10, 2021 in a Nashville, Arkansas Hospital.
Mr. Cheatham was born to the late Mr. Earlie Cheatham and the Late Mrs. Lucy Jefferson-Cheatham in Hope, Arkansas.
He was employed by Tyson Foods and Husqvarna until he retired, he as well had been employed by Tex-Ark Joist, Hudson Foods, Champion Generator Plant, Southwest In Home Service and Benson's Nursing Home some of which at the same time.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and both his maternal and paternal grandparents and a sister Pearlie Mae Cage.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Shirley Ann O'Bryant-Cheatham of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, two sons, LaGarrett M. O'Bryant and is wife Fatima of Dallas, Texas and Earlie D. Cheatham of Mineral Springs, Arkansas. Two brothers, Perry Cheatham, Sr. and his wife Karen of Michigan and Reginald Cheatham and his wife Johnnie of Hope, Arkansas. Four sisters, Delois Cheatham, Valarie Milus, her husband Alvin, Jennie Turner and her husband Roderick all of Hope, Arkansas and Sharon Dixon of Alabama. Four grandchildren, LaGarrett D. O'Bryant, Ja'Kachel O'Bryant, Ta'Quia Wesley and Muhammad Sy. Two great grandchildren, Khylee Renee Johnson and Kynleigh Alia Williams as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 21, 2021 at Free Christian Zion with interment at Benson Cemetery in Ozan, Arkansas where Pastor Willie Benson will serve as Officiant and Eulogist under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home and Staff.
There will be a public visitation on Friday August 20, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860, from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm and the body will lie in state at Free Christian Zion in Mineral Springs from 10:00 am until just prior to the funeral service Saturday August 21, 2021.
Because of CDC guidelines from COVID, all who intend to attend will be required to wear a mask and adhere to current social distancing guidelines.
MASK ARE REQUIRED DURING BOTH THE VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICE AND YOUR COOPERATION IS APPRECIATED.
