James Daniel "Danny" Ward, age 55, of Jefferson, Texas, formerly of Garland City, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, Texas. Mr. Ward was born November 16, 1961 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Don and Irene Ward. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was a heavy equipment operator in the oil and gas industry and fiber optic cable industry. He always enjoyed cars and was an avid John Deere memorabilia collector and loved going to antique stores with his wife.
Mr. Ward is survived by his parents; his wife, Donna Ward of Jefferson, Texas; son, Josh Ward and wife Kathleen of Stamps, Arkansas; two step-sons and two step-daughters; sister, Debra Thomas, and husband Billy of Genoa, Arkansas; grandchildren, Sophia, Maddison, and Addison; nine step-grandchildren; niece, Kayla Eddington, and husband Sean of Genoa, Arkansas; nephews; Jeremy Thomas, and wife Karla of Genoa, Arkansas, and Josh Thomas, And wife, Maegan of Genoa, Arkansas; great-nieces and great-nephews, Maggie, Nathaniel, Jaxon, and Whit; and very special friends, Mike Lowe, Mike Stacy, Jr. and Guy Stacy; and his beloved cat, Harley.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. Leon Turner and Mr. Sean Eddington officiating. Interment will follow at Genoa Church of Christ Cemetery in Genoa, AR. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
