James Edward "Grass" Pickett, age 65, of Taylor, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 8, 2014. He was born on January 19, 1949 in Taylor, Arkansas to George Thomas "Duger" and Margaret Marie Brown Pickett. Mr. Pickett was a member of the Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge, Iron Workers Union Local 591, and the Walker Creek Bucks Unlimited Hunting Club. Grass loved hunting, fishing, telling stories, and making people laugh.

Mr. Pickett was preceded in death by his parents; Son, James Edward "Eddie" Pickett, Jr.; Two Brothers, George Thomas "Pokey" Pickett, Jr., and Gary Dale Pickett; Sister, Mary Annette Smith; and Grandson, William Edward Peterson.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Pickett of Taylor; Two Sons, Jonathon Dinkins and wife Stacy of Benton, LA and James Dinkins and wife Jennifer of Fort Collins, CO; Three Daughters, DeDee Owen of Magnolia, Pamela Boyett and husband Greg of Taylor, Twana Hendricks and husband Brian of Magnolia; He is also survived by nine grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor with Bro. Joseph Stacks and Bro. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at the church.
