Obituary

James Victor "Jimmy" Alexander Jr., 83, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away on September 10, 2023. Jimmy was born on December 16, 1939, in Hope, Arkansas to James Victor Alexander Sr and Vera Lou (Roberson) Alexander. Throughout life Jimmy wore many hats, former mayor of Lewisville, Arkansas, County Judge of Lafayette County, Lafayette County Clerk, and Lafayette County Sheriff. He also worked for Falcon Products as a General Manager for many years and worked for the Veteran's Administration in Lafayette County in Veteran's Services. Staying busy as a jack of all trades, he built the family home as well. Jimmy served his country in the United States Air Force and throughout all his careers, his love of his family ranked the highest. Making time for some fishing in his spare time when he could.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Vera Alexander; daughter, Laurie Alexander; grandson, Holden Daughtery; and brother, Jerry Lee Alexander and wife June, brother, Charles Moran; brother in law Lowell McNally.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Kay Alexander; daughter, Amanda Bolinger and husband, Aaron of Shelbyville, Illinois; son Jamie Alexander of Lewisville, Arkansas; brother Dennis Moran and wife Toni of Walker, Louisiana; sisters, Vicky Alford of Stephenville, Texas and Sonja Crick and husband Charles of Harrison, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brooke Jones and husband Cody, Emma Qualls and husband Michael, Lucas Brady, Wade Adams and wife Meghan; seven great granddaughters that he adored; sister in law Judy Moran of Converse, Louisiana and sister in law Billie McNally of Garland, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Wilson Cemetery under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.

There will be a visitation held at A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations  be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
