Jan Elizabeth May

Jan Elizabeth May, born February 6, 1954, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, July 2, 2026. Leaving behind an unwavering love for those she cherished most.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Cleave and Lula Beth Beshea. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Billy May, whose life was enriched by their enduring love and partnership. She also leaves behind her daughters, Joni (Gary) Millican and Cheri (Wes) Pierce, who were the pride and joy of her life. Jan was a proud and loving grandmother to Mason (Aria) May, Eli (Autumn) Pierce, Ali Pierce, Maci Millican, and Fletcher Pierce. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Hattie Pierce, who brought her immense joy.

Nothing meant more to Jan than her family. Whether it was a ballgame, school program, or academic achievement, she could almost always be found front and center, enthusiastically cheering on her children and grandchildren. She celebrated every milestone with pride and encouragement.

A lifelong lover of softball, Jan excelled as a player, coach, and devoted fan. Over the years, she coached numerous league, All-Star, and World Series teams, investing countless hours in mentoring young athletes and helping them grow both on and off the field. Her passion for the game and her commitment to her players left a lasting impact on many lives.

Jan also expressed her love through hospitality. Her kitchen was always open, and no one ever left her home hungry. She found great joy in preparing meals, gathering family and friends around her table, and creating a home where everyone felt welcomed, loved, and cared for.

Above all, Jan loved Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she faithfully served her church in many different roles throughout the years. Her servant's heart, kindness, and steadfast faith were evident in the way she lived each day.

Jan will be remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering support of those she loved, her welcoming heart, and the example of faith she set for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and, in the family, she loved so dearly.

Her memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Andy Hawkins officiating. Interment to follow at Springhill City Cemetery, Springhill, Louisiana.

Pallbearers to Honor Jan will be Billy Wayne Creech, Robert Russell, Richard Belk, Ricky Pierce, Kaleb Gish, Clay Robertson and Charles Eason. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Gish, Andy Cheatham and Jason Roberts.

Flowers may be sent through Country Florist, Stamps, AR, or, in Jan's honor, memorial donations may be made to your local youth softball league.
