Jane Bland Charles, age 73 of Taylor, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Charles was born May 31, 1943 in Taylor to J.W. and Beulah Bland. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Eastern Star and Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Charles was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Beulah Bland; loving aunt, Artie "Dood" Glascow; and grandparents, Pline and Arpa Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her husband, Percy Charles of Taylor, AR; son, John T. Pickett of Walker Creek, AR; daughter, Elizabeth Scott and husband, Mike of Walker Creek, AR; sister, June Teague and husband, Robert of Walker Creek; three grandsons, J.W. Pickett of Hot Springs, AR; Jody Pickett of Walker Creek; and Jared Pickett of Minden, LA; granddaughter, Jamie Vines and husband, Josh of Walker Creek; two great grandsons, Jamison and Jasetyn Rich both of Walker Creek; two great granddaughters, Jaselyn Rich of Walker Creek and Teagan Pickett of Hot Springs; special caretaker and friend, Linda Davis of Taylor, AR; niece, Stephanie Hartsfield and husband, Dickey of Taylor, AR; great nephew, Bubba Snider and wife, Jessica of Taylor;great niece, Crystal Hall and husband, Blake also of Taylor; great-great niece, Abigail Hall; and great-great nephew, Bennett Snider.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Forest Grove Baptist Church in Taylor, AR with Bro. Todd Pickard officiating and assisted by Bro. Joseph Stacks. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR.
