Obituary Announcement
J.C. Grissom, 88, of Stamps, AR., passed away April 7th at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, AR.
He was born April 17, 1926 in the Bussey Community near Taylor, AR. to Sears and Ida Mae Daniels-Grissom, he was a twin.
He joined the Antioch Baptist Church in Magnolia, AR. at an early age and was a member of Nat Lewis and the Lovely Five. He was employed at the Oil Mill and later retired from Alumax.
She was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
.Survivors include: his widow; Mrs. Gloria D. Grissom of the home, four sons; James C. Grissom of Stamps, AR., Keith Grissom of Pine Bluff, AR., M.J. and Ellis L. (Bevely) Grissom of Texarkana, AR. Three daughters; Ms. Gloria A. Grissom of Garland, AR., Mrs. Lora A. (Clay) Outlaw of Pensacola, FL., and Ms. Susie Grissom of Stamps, AR. One sister; Mrs. Mary Barrow of Magnolia, AR. Twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18th , at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Magnolia, AR with burial following in the church cemetery. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Officiating will be Rev. Johnny Ray Radford.
Visitation: Friday 12 Noon till 5:p.m. at the funeral home.
