Obituary

Hilma Jean Camp Foster McKelroy, 79, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at The Waters, in Stamps.  She was born November 1, 1939.  She was a lifelong resident of Lafayette County, a member of Sardis Methodist Church of Stamps, Arkansas, and a member of First Baptist Church of Buckner, Arkansas.  One of her greatest accomplishments was being a mother and raising her three children.

A host of loved ones await her in heaven; her parents, Johnny and Velta Camp; two sons, John Roy Foster and Buster Foster; three brothers, Harlis, Jim and David Camp; one grandson, John Thomas Foster; two husbands; Thomas H. Foster, Sr. and Gilbert Ray McKelroy; grandparents; aunts and uncles.

She is survived by one daughter, LaRita Jean Allison and husband Ken of Stamps, AR; one sister, Joann Hicks of Texarkana, TX; five grandchildren, Matthew Foster of Baton Rouge, LA, Ricky Rogers, Jr. and wife, Sarah of Stamps, AR, Tabitha Buehler and husband Jeff of Buckner, AR, Nina Jackson and husband Michael of Stamps, AR, and Elizabeth Allison of Stamps, AR; 6 great grandchildren, Madison and Kylie Rogers, Brooklyn and Gavin Buehler, Jordan Michael Brooks, and Jase Anderson.

Mrs. McKelroy loved life and enjoyed being with her family, at age 21, she learned to make homemade lemonade as she took on the crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis, at 28, she became a licensed Cosmetologist and for many years she was in Tupperware sales.  Jean was a former D.J. on KVMA and KZHE and a director for the Beauty Queen pageants in Lafayette County for several years.  She loved to help her children in school and was involved in school activities and clubs.  She loved to tell others what Jesus meant to her and how to ask him to come into your soul.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Andy Hawkins and Bro. Charlie Warren officiating.  Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Stamps, Arkansas.  Pallbearers will be Terry Tatom, Steven Tatom, Randy Camp, Kenny Camp, Larry Dan Camp, Joe Sanders, and David Camp, Jr.  Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
