Jerry Lee "Poppy" Alexander, age 73 of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015. Mr. Alexander was born November 14, 1941 in Hope, Arkansas to Vera Lou and James Victor Alexander, Sr. He was a Farm Bureau Insurance Agent for 49 ½ years. His favorite pastime was his daily trip to his camp on Kelly Lake.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, June Alexander.

He is survived by his son, John Alexander and wife, Melinda of Texarkana, AR; daughter, Misty Wright and husband, Russell of Lewisville, AR; three brothers, Jimmy Alexander and wife, Kay of Lewisville, AR, Dennis Moran and wife, Toni of Walker, LA, and Charles Moran and wife, Judy of Converse, LA; two sisters, Vicky Alford of Stephenville, TX and Sonya Crick and husband, Charles of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Katie McAndrews, Alex Wright, Haleigh Alexander, and Sydney Young; great grandchildren, Braxton Wright and Makensie McAndrews; sisters-in-law, Mary Nash and husband, Noel of Westfork, AR and Ginger Haltom of Texarkana, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Rev. Ron Eldridge officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps.
