Jerry Allen Klutts of Lewisville, Arkansas, departed this earthly life on Friday, December 3, 2021, after a long battle with kidney disease.

He was born September 29, 1954, in Gainsville, Texas, and raised in his hometown of Whitesboro, Texas, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Judy Kay Hill, in 1976. Jerry attended Kilgore College for a short time after high school and was able to build a prosperous career for himself as an oilfield mechanic. If there was anyone who could fix the problem or teach you how to run an oilfield, Jerry Klutts was the man to call. He traveled across the U.S. and Canada, to Columbia, India, and several other countries imparting of his knowledge and expertise in the oil industry to others.

Jerry was known for his big heart and beautiful tenor voice amongst family and friends. He also enjoyed growing fruit trees and gardens, smoking a good brisket served along side his famous potato salad, watching Western movies and travel shows, enjoying a big bowl of Blue Bell ice cream, and riding around with and loving on his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Betty Klutts, sister, Kimberlee Sue Shelton, and wife, Judy Kay Klutts. Left behind to cherish his memory is wife Julie Buehler Klutts of Lewisville, Arkansas; son Jeremy Klutts and wife Chasity of Lewisville, Arkansas; daughter Jamie Devereaux and husband Jeremy of Dayton, Texas; daughter Jessica Kelley and husband Johnathan of Waldo, Arkansas; son Jason Cox of Emmit, Arkansas; daughter Beth Birge and husband Casey of Humble, Texas, brother Kevin Klutts of Lewisville, Arkansas; and 11 grandchildren.

A family memorial service will be held at the end of the month. Details for receiving visitors will be shared at that time.
