Jerry Don Moore, age 57, of Abingdon, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Jerry was raised in and spent most of his life in Arkansas before moving to Abingdon in 2004. He was a truck driver for nearly 30 years before he and his wife acquired and operated Serenity Assisted Living in Meadowview, VA.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Pauline Poe Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Stanley Moore; children, Stephanie (Jewel Dale) Tatum of Magnolia, AR, John Tyler (Brandi) Denmon of Fruitvale, TX, Ryan Moore of Abingdon, VA, and Jordan (Cameron) Colebank of North Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Josie, Jarod, Hayley, and Dillion; step children, Adam (Christina) Poston of Marion, VA, Jarrod (Brynna) Poston of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kelley Poston (John White) of Bristol, TN; step grandchildren, Myranda, Alex, Gabe, Lucas and Bennett; sisters, Betty (Michael) Hamlin of Middletown, DE and Anita (Larry) Jones of Conway, AR; mother-in-law, Doris Stanley of Meadowview, VA; three nieces; one nephew; and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, AR with Mr. Cameron Colebank officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
