Jerry Duail Owens, age 79, of Stamps, Arkansas entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, July 11, 2026. He was born on September 2, 1946, in Stamps, Arkansas to Duail and Carnell Owens. Jerry was a well-known businessman in Stamps for many years with numerous businesses throughout the years. His most loved business was that of selling cars. Jerry, a Vietnam veteran, serviced two tours in the United States Navy with the Seabees. His tours carried him through the Vietnam War during the years of 1965 to 1968. He was a mason, a businessman, but most loved of all, a family man. Jerry has many family and friends left behind that will cherish their time of knowing him. He will be missed greatly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Duail and Carnell Owens and his sister, Jeanette Owens Shackelford.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sheila Owens; sons, Jeffrey (Melissa) Owens of Hope, Arkansas and Mark Edward Owens of Lewisville, Arkansas; sister, Barbara (Jim) Turner of Blanchard, Louisiana; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers in Jerry’s honor will be Gary Nichols, Mark Minter, John D Smith, Tommy Dean, Copie Dickson, and Alex Wright.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm at A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Nick Perry officiating. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Stamps, Arkansas. There will be a visitation held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.

Donations may be made to St. Jude in lieu of flowers.
