Mr. Jewell Ward, 90, of Texarkana, AR passed away March 30, 2019 at Briarcliff Healthcare in Greenville, TX.  He was born April 11, 1928 in Rattan, OK to Dempsey and Mary Hobbs Ward.   He loved travelling, fishing and working. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois Faye Ward; and daughter, Loretta Ward.

He is survived by one son, Jim Ward and wife, Yong Suh; three brothers, Winford Ward and wife, Irene, Roy Ward and Ellis Ward and wife, Janet; three sisters, Tinnie Louise, Viola and Myrtrice; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 703 Thomas St., Stamps, AR with Bro. Mike Turner officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home.
