Jim Edwin Ruth, age 76 of Haynesville, Louisiana, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. Mr. Ruth was born January 20, 1941 in Trinadad, Texas to Robert Franklin and Dovie Ruth.

Mr. Ruth was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Kay McKamie Ruth; brother, Charlie Ruth; and two sisters, Eualdine Ruth Price Garr and Norine "CooCoo" Ruth.

He is survived by three brothers, Robert Ruth of Melbourne, FL; Richard Ruth and wife, Joyce of Lake Erling; and Paul Ruth and wife, Eva of Waldo, AR; two sisters, Opal Moore and husband, Tullie of Shongaloo, LA and Arlene Martin and significant other, Tim Oneal of Shongaloo, LA; two sisters-in-law, Cynthia Silkwood of Springhill, LA and Catherine Green of Lake Erling; brother-in-law, Richard McKamie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, AR with Bro. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Mars Hill, AR. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Ruth. Visitation will be held from noon until service time at the Taylor Chapel.
