Jimmie Carrol Hovarter, age 68 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Mr. Hovarter was born August 7, 1949 in Hope, Arkansas to A.J. and Selma Helen Smith Hovarter. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stamps and enjoyed music.

Mr. Hovarter was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two brothers, Donnie Hovarter of Waldo, AR and Larry Hovarter and wife, Barbara of Stamps, AR; one nephew, Dennis Hovarter of Hope, AR; one niece, Jessica Dies of Carrizo Springs, TX; twin great nephew and niece, Payson and Tatem Hovarter of Hope, AR; and great nephews and great nieces, Anna, Jeremy, Clayton, and Trace. A special thanks to the staff of Homestead Manor in Stamps.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. Mike Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
