Jimmy (Junior) Tatum

November 7, 1948 – March 10, 2021

Mr. Jimmy Tatum 72 of Stamps, passed away at St. Michael's Hospital in Texarkana Texas Wednesday March 10, 2021.

Mr. Tatum was born November 7, 1948 to the late Mr. Jimmy Tatum and Mrs. Jessie Lee Goree-Tatum in Stamps, Arkansas.

He was employed at Alan White Furniture Company until he retired.  Prior to that he had worked for Parks and Fuller Mills of Lewisville.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, his grandparents Mr. Ed and Mrs. Mossie Brown, a brother, Grady Tatum and a sister, Linda Kay Long.

He is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories, his two sons, Jeremey Lynn Tatum and Christopher Bernard Williams of Richmond California and his daughter Jena Marie Tatum of Lewisville, Arkansas.  Two brothers, Rev. Sylvester (Judy) Tatum and Rev. Danny Reynolds of Stamps.  Six sisters, Vera (Larry) Jones of Toledo Ohio, Gracie Tatum of Texarkana Texas, Marie (Bay) Dedner of Prescott, Arkansas, Rosie (Robert) Edwards of Texarkana, Texas, Gwen Richards and Brenda Kay Long of Stamps.  Grandchildren, Ayanna Williams of Arkadelphia Arkansas, Jeremey Lynn Williams, Jr., Choir Williams and Christopher Williams, Jr of Richmond California.

A special uncle, Mr. Odell Brown of Houston, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private family ceremony will be held at Smith Funeral Home Chapel 415 East First Street at 11:00 a.m. with a maximum of 50 people on Saturday March 20, 2021 with a public viewing to be held at Lakeside Cemetery at 12:30 after the family service.

There will be a visitation on Friday March 19, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel; 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas.
