Joan Nolte Bland, age 92 of Taylor Arkansas died on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Ms. Bland was born February 13, 1933, to Fred and Faye Nolte in the Red River bottoms west of Bradley Arkansas where she lived until she married Billy Bland in 1950. She lived the rest of her life in the Walker Creek community west of Taylor, Arkansas.

Mrs. Bland was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Billy "Butch" Bland Jr. and a brother Fredrick William "Billy" Nolte.

She is survived by a sister, Linda Umphries; three sons, Terry and wife Kathy of Norman, Arkansas, Jim and wife Lisa of Taylor, Arkansas, Rick and wife Francine of Taylor, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Bland will be held at Forest Grove Baptist Church, Walker Creek, Arkansas on Monday evening, June 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Forest Grove Baptist Church, Walker Creek, Arkansas on Tuesday morning, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 am officiated by Brother Joseph Stacks, with interment to follow at Forest Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
