Joe Michael Hickman, 76 of Monroe, Louisiana passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at the VA hospital in Monroe, Louisiana. He was born August 29, 1947 in Waldo, Arkansas to John Edward and Annie Bailey Hickman. Joe was a member of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a farmer much of his life and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working the cows, but mostly, he enjoyed talking about the Lord. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Stamps.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Annie Hickman; his grandparents, Ed and Mary Bailey; two brothers, Winston Hickman and Lil John; and one nephew, Randy Hickman.

He is survived by two brothers, James Hickman (Peggy) of Stamps, Arkansas and Johnny Hickman of El Dorado, Arkansas; one daughter; special friend, Margaret; his Hospice caregiver, Hannah; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Sardis Cemetery in Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Adam Rogers officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas.

Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas.
