John Havard Belk, of Homer, LA, died January 22, 2021 at Heritage Nursing Center in Haynesville, LA.

John was born November 29, 1946 in Minden, LA to Gilbert John Belk Sr and Hazel Voncile Johnston Belk. He graduated from Springhill High School in 1965 and went on to get a BA in Sociology from Louisiana Tech University. He spent 10 years in Tucson, AZ and Shreveport, LA where he worked as an accountant for various businesses. He finally settled in Homer, LA for 22 years and worked for Piggly Wiggly. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and other Church activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by one brother, Gilbert John Belk Jr. and wife Connie of Fayetteville, AR. One nephew Jeff Belk of Fayetteville, AR. One niece Belinda Belk Costanzo and husband Mark of New Orleans, LA. One great nephew Jackson Belk. He is also leaving behind some very close friends, Tony and Beth Adams and family of Shongaloo, LA.

Graveside services will be held 2P.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Welcome Cemetery in Taylor, AR. with Rev. Tim Pruitt and Rev. Joe Adams officiating under direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes.

The family request that mask be worn at all times during the service.
