John "Sonny" Thurman Bright, age 88 of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Mr. Bright was born February 24, 1928 in Stamps, Arkansas to G.L. and Lula Mae Bright. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. Mr. Bright loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville.

Mr. Bright was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bright of the home; son, John "Goldie" Kenneth Bright and wife, Brenda Kaye of Wake Village, TX; two daughters, Cindy Stewart of Beebe, AR, and Margie Miller and husband, Dale of Hope, AR; seven grandchildren, Kevin Bright, Angie Guy, Chris Stewart, Scotty Stewart, Brindy Richardson, Jason Miller, and Chad Miller; and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with grandsons, Chris Stewart and Chad Miller officiating.
