John Edward "Buddy" Farley, Jr., age 80 of Buckner, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Christus St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana. Buddy was born to John Edward, Sr. and Dorothy Johnson Farley on September 25, 1934. He was a third generation master carpenter, U.S. Army Veteran, crossword enthusiast, fan of all athletics, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stamps, Arkansas.
Mr. Farley was survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Norma Kay Tatom Farley of the home; daughter, Rose Wiegand and husband, James of Stamps, AR; son, John Edward Farley III and wife, Patty of Buckner, AR; two granddaughters, Audrey Wiegand of Springhill, AR and Grace Farley of Buckner, AR; step-granddaughter, Tami Ross and husband, Clint of Charleston, SC; one brother, Mike Farley and wife, Trish of Houston, TX; five nephews; two great-nephews; and two nieces.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR with Rev. Mark Rivers officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
