John Lewis 78, of Saratoga, AR died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. John was born to Ean and Mary Lewis, October 15, 1937 in McKamie, AR. He attended Booker T. Washington High School in Texarkana, AR and went on to complete his education at Texarkana Community College.

He met and married the love of his life, Cardie Lee Bradley, on December 26, 1966. That union was blessed with one son, Frederick F. Lewis.

As a man of faith, John professed his faith of love for Christ at Harmony Church of Christ. He continued to be a good faithful servant until the Lord called him to a greater service.

John constantly to his community by serving for twelve years on the Hempstead County Quorum Court as Justice of the Peace District Eight.
He served several terms in 1980-1990 during which time he served as Notary Public. He was also a former board member of the Saratoga Volunteer Fire Department Association.

He worked for Day and Zimmerman ammunition and Georgia Pacific Paper Mill.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hope Church of Christ with Brother Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery in Saratoga, AR under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2016 from 11a.m. until 4p.m.
