John David Martin, 71, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away on September 21, 2023. He was born in Rosston, Arkansas on March 7, 1952, to Hilmon Lee and Rosa Mae Martin. Retiring from truck driving, John enjoyed fishing and hunting and tinkering with old cars. He enjoyed building things and will be remembered for his sense of humor when joking around with everyone. John most enjoyed his time spent with family, especially his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Hilmon and Rosa (Bearce) Martin; his two sisters, Marie Hicks and Nanlee Hicks; his four brothers, O'Neil Martin, Bob Martin, Billy Martin, and Junior Martin.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Peggy Martin; daughters, Lisa Martin of Prescott, Arkansas and Theresa Martin of Dewit, Arkansas; sisters, Mary Freeman of Hope, Arkansas, Vicky Bailey and husband Johnny of Stephens, Arkansas, Rosie Robbins of Cale, Arkansas, Betty Winters and husband Tommy of Camden, Arkansas; brothers, Dale Martin and wife Shirley of Prescott, Arkansas, Richard Martin and wife Brenda of Cale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Gabriel and Amy Martin, Hunter Martin, Heather Lanicek, Kourtnie Lewis, Brittany Cooper and Shelby Lewis; great grandchildren, Raeven Williams, Jaedah Vasquev, and Devon Martin; great great grandchildren, Nova Williams and Paxton Williams.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at A O Smith Funeral Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be at A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Friday September 29, 2023, following visitation with Brother Roy Johnson and Brother Johnny Bailey officiating the service, under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
