John "Sam" Rogers, age 66, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away August 13, 2019 at Willis Knighton-Bossier.  He was born October 23, 1952 in Carthage, Texas to Marion Rogers and Doris Willard Roquemore.  He was a member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Stanley Rogers and Randall Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Higgins Rogers; two sons, Jason Samuel Rogers and wife, Aprill of White Hall, AR and Jeffery Wayne Rogers and wife, Amanda of Taylor, AR; daughter, Jennifer Marie Rogers of Taylor, AR; sister, Sandra Oney of Crosby, TX; ten grandchildren, Caroline, Barron, Bailee, Sammy, Jack, Travis, Olivia, Isabella, A.J., and Peyton; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 10AM Friday, August 16, 2019 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chet Johnson and Bro. Joe Stacks officiating.  Burial will follow at the Forest Grove Cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps.  Visitation will be from 6PM-8PM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Honoring Mr. Rogers as pallbearers will be Billy Everett, Eric Oney, Paul Higgins, Matthew Higgins, Scott Meeler, Bobby Don Roton, and Mikie Whitehead.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Dodson Brother Softball Team.
