Joyce Cross Smith, age 82 of Moore, South Carolina and wife of the late Ernest "Buddy" Smith, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Mrs. Smith, formally of Bradley, AR, was born on November 24, 1934 to the late Arlton Chester and Theo Doshie Matlock Cross. She was a graduate of Bradley High school, played professional basketball with the Arkansas Travelers, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Joyce was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by brother, Samuel Cross (Mary) of AR; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Joyce was predeceased by her two sons, a brother and her sister.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am Monday, March 6, 2017 at Bradley Baptist Church in Bradley, AR with Bro. Andrew Kibbe officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 9am until Service time at the church.
