JR Tatom went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2013.
He was a loving husband for 55 years to his wife, Patsy Tatom. Mr. Tatom was born January 11, 1938, in Stamps, AR. He was a retired logging contractor and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father was Otra Tatom, and mother was Gladine Wheelington and step- father John Wheelington.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Tatom of Ashdown; one son, three daughters, and two sons-in-law, Dale Tatom of Stamps, Connie Gregory and husband Gary Gregory, Tina Garrison and husband Weldon Garrison of Ashdown and Daphnea Ryan of Hope. He has six grandchildren, Brandi, Cameron, Jace, Brandon, Maeghan, and D.J., and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Haley, Addison, Elise, and Ryleigh, one brother Arvis Tatom and wife Sylvia Tatom, three sisters, Shirley Tannehill, Sue Aldridge and husband Mike Aldridge, and Judy Edwards. A special Uncle, Ozell Tatom and wife Pauline Tatom, a special Aunt, Lois Tatom. He has numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Sardis Cemetery in Stamps with Bro. Sam Tamburo officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the funeral home.
