June Owen, age 84 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Owen was born May 12, 1932 in Prescott, Arkansas to Joel Bemis and Fannie Moss Nipper. She was a member of Unity Methodist Church and the Unity Quilting Ladies.

Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Carl Owen and Bill Owen; sister, Ann Collier; brother, Van Nipper; and daughter-in-law, LeDonna Owen.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Owen of Shongaloo, LA and Joe Owen and wife, Angela of Lake Erling, AR; two daughters, Carla Pearson and husband, Doyle of Ingleside, TX and Nancy Hood and husband, Thomas Wayne of Springhill, LA; brother, Victor Nipper and wife, Donna of El Dorado, AR; sister, Jane Quarles and husband, Buddy of Queen City, TX; five grandsons, Jim Owen and wife, Tammy of Gentry, AR; Troy Pearson and wife, Crystal of Portland, TX; Terry Hood and wife, Stacy of Queen City, TX; Joseph Owen of West Monroe, LA; and Joshua Owen and wife, Kim of Stamps, AR; seven granddaughters, Melissa Martin and husband, Kevin of Sarepta, LA; Tami Pearson of Rock Port, TX; Kim Parnella and Bill of Niagra Falls, NY; Heather Pearson of Orange Grove, TX; Robin Dick of Springhill, LA; Laura Lewis and husband, Jesse of Springhill, LA; and Haley Owen of Stamps, AR; three step-grandsons, Tyler Honeycutt and Stori; Cody Honeycutt; and Owen Honeycutt all of Lake Erling, AR; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am Friday, July 29, 2016 at Unity Methodist Church in Taylor, AR with Bro. Wayne Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Sharman Cemetery in Sharman under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
