Lanetta Jo Garner, age 85 of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Mrs. Garner was born December 9, 1930 in Springhill, Arkansas to Joe and Eva May Gilley. She was a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Texarkana. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, needle work, reading, and word puzzles. Mrs. Garner loved being with her family.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her parents; and great grandchild, Phenyx.
She is survived by her husband Curtis Glendon Garner of Texarkana, AR; son, Curtis Richard Garner also of Texarkana, AR; three daughters, Julia Malinda Stone and husband, Duncan of Lee's Summit, MO; Frances Howze and husband, Ronald of Fouke, AR; and Glenda Neff of Queen City, TX; God-daughter, Susannah Christian and husband, Jason of Texarkana, TX; four grandchildren, David Howze, Amanda Howze, Sarah Harwell, and Joseph Neff; and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Pastor Jerome Ellard officiating. Interment will follow at Ayers Cemetery near Hope, AR. Visitation will be held from noon to service time on Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home.
