Obituary

Laura Belle Spence, age 84, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation in Magnolia, Arkansas. Mrs. Spence was born September 6, 1929, in Bradley,AR, to Nute and Birdie Lane. Her biggest joys in life were her family and friends and giving herself to others with nothing expected in return.

Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of sixty-two years, R.B. Spence, Jr.; and sisters, Lottie Lane and Onie Carter.

Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories are her daughter, Margaret Cannon and husband, Dale of Taylor, AR; granddaughter, Sonya Cannon Caldwell and husband, Jason of Magnolia, AR; grandson Heath Cannon and wife, Melanie of Sarepta, LA; great grandchildren, Cody, Hunter and Kenzie Caldwell of Magnolia, AR; Payton, Sam and Bethany McAllister of Sarepta, LA; and Tucker Cannon also of Sarepta; many nieces and nephews who all loved her but especially nephew, Buddy Weems, who was more like a son to her; sisters-in-law, Verna Alderson and husband, Euklid of Queen City, TX, and Lillian Bell of Fort Worth, TX.

The family would like to thank all of the Administration and Staff at Magnolia Health and Rehab for the wonderful loving care that they provided to Mrs. Spence while she was there.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013, at the Pavilion in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley, AR. Pallbearers will be Dale Alderson, Heath Cannon, Jason Caldwell, Cody Caldwell, Hunter Caldwell and Buddy Weems. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Bradley, AR, with Bro. Earl Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Walnut Hill Cemetery Gate Fund or the Charity of your choice. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
