Lena Pearl Owen Coke met her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2020. She came into this world on March 21, 1931 to her parents John David Owen and Alice Arrittia Barkhimer Owen who have preceded her in death. Her husband of 64 years has now greeted her in Heaven as well.

She and her husband started a family in the oil field of West Texas. They returned to Arkansas and in 1959 built the family home in Bussey. She became a pillar within the community where she would check on the elders, take them a home cooked meal and pray with them. She enjoyed visiting with nursing home residents also.

She loved to share Jesus with everyone. She was one of the founding members of the Taylor Assembly of God. She taught Sunday school and led the children's Booster Band for several years. She taught her children to pray and her grandchildren would hear Bible stories at bedtime. When she wasn't reading her Bible or going to church, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking for her family.

Through the years she has been known by many names "Buckshot" (given to her by her grandfather) "Granny, "NeNe" but the name she loved to hear the most was "Mother". The family she leaves behind is her children, Robert Coke of Taylor, AR, Billy Coke and wife, Pat of Benton, AR, Dorothy Keith and husband, Delbert of Taylor, AR, Hope Keene of Taylor, AR and Latricia Reynolds and husband, Victor of Waldo, AR; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Bussey Cemetery with Bro. Gladney Hunt officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2020 at A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
