Lenora Smith, age 79, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, AR.

Mrs. Smith was born November 11, 1937 in Stamps, Arkansas to Jewell and Clatha Nix. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She retired from Wal-Mart in Springhill and worked at Freds for many years.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles W. Smith; 2 brothers, Jimmy R. Nix and Clifford Nix; sister-in-law Patsy Nix; brother-in-law, Wayne Shelley.

She is survived by her son, Darron Smith and wife Lea Ann of Taylor, AR; daughter, Pam Sanders and husband Ronny of Nashville, TN/Superior, CO; brothers, Jewell Nix, Jr. of Springhill, LA, Curtis Ray Nix and wife Elaine of Sarepta, LA, Bobby Nix and wife Sherrie of Springhill, LA; sisters, Susie Shelley of Queen City, TX, Annie Graves and husband Joe of Canton, TX, Carolyn Sissom and husband Steve of Springhill, LA; sister-in-law, Joyce Nix of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Casey Sanders, Karla Trainer, Rocket Smith, Heaven Smith; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, AR with Bro. John Nations officiating. Interment will follow at the Springhill City Cemetery in Springhill, LA under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 6:00PM until 7:30PM at the Taylor Chapel. Robert Whitehead, Rocket Smith, Casey Sanders, Ronny Sanders, Danny Smith and Mike Smith will serve as Pallbearers.
