Obituary

Linda Jean Harper Hamm passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, in Benton, Louisiana. She was born September 29, 1943, in Springhill, Louisiana to Eugene and Erma Llyod Harper. Linda was a cotton farmer and mail carrier for the U.S. post office. She enjoyed studying and researching Native American history, especially the Choctaw tribe, which her grandparents were full blood members. She also enjoyed reading, singing, sewing and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Hamm, her parents and one sister Nell Rose Moore.

She is survived by three daughters, Karmen Hall and husband Ronnie, which she thought of as a son of Benton, Louisiana, Karla Hamm of Springhill, Louisiana and Kelli Maxwell and husband Roger of Taylor, Arkansas. 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Two nieces, Miranda Howard of Blanchard, Louisiana and Melissa Kalson and husband Michael of Little Rock, Arkansas. One nephew, Jason Howard of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held for 2P.M. until 4P.M. Thursday March 30, 2023, at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas.
