Mack Lester Jr., 71, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at St Michael Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Lester was born April 2, 1943 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Mack and Helen (Boyce) Lester Sr. Mr. Lester worked for a number of years in his families businesses in the Lewisville area. He later became involved in the banking industry and worked in that capacity for some thirty years. He also served on the board of directors for the Christian schools in this area. Mr. Lester was a founding member of the Missionary Bible Church and also served as pastor. He loved the Lord his family and many friends whose lives he touched during his time with us. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Nutt.
He is survived by his wife Melinda of the home.
He also passes his legacy on to his four children Bradley Chuck Goodner and wife Jessie of Knoxville, Tenn., Jessica Ronk of Magnolia, Arkansas, Karen Arbuckle and husband Ronnie of De Queen, Arkansas and Dena Weems and husband Anthony of Elysian Fields, Texas He also leaves to mourn his passing seven grandchildren, Haleigh, Garrett, Landon, Rhiannon, Emily, Blaine and Scott.
Funeral services for Mr. Lester will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas. Rev. Charlie Warren and Rev. Norman Castleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, Arkansas. In liu of flower donations may be made to the South Arkansas Christian Schools.
