Malvin Edward Christie, age 104, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away August 23, 2020. He was born July 4, 1916 in Emerson, Arkansas to Joseph and Gladys Camp Christie. Mr. Christie attended Spencer Business College in Shreveport, LA before joining the Navy in 1942. He was stationed in New Orleans and then deployed to the Pacific Theater. He spent time in the Philippines as well as in Iwo Jima, Japan. He returned to Lewisville in 1945 after the war. He owned Christie Motor Company from 1947-1978.

Mr. Christie was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mabel Hance and Mildred Owens and two grandsons, Bradley Edward Adkisson and Nathaniel Chase Adkisson.

He is survived by his wife, Obalene Christie; three daughters, Ann Burns and husband, Milburn of Lewisville, AR, Mona Adkisson and husband, Sam of Seminole, OK and Tara Beckham and husband, Roger of Weatherford, TX; grandsons, Adam Adkisson and wife, Tiffany of Seminole, OK, Kolt Beckham and wife, Kayla of Lake Erling, AR and Chris Hurley and wife, Lisa of Magnolia, AR; granddaughters, Hollie Allen and husband Danny of Ft. Worth, TX and Madalyn Beckham of Weatherford, TX; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Chapel services will be held 2PM, Sunday, August 30, 2020 at A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Kenneth Bobo officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. No interment. Visitation will be 5PM-8PM, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kolt Beckham, Adam Adkisson, Tate Gore, Dennis Minter, Danny Allen, Dustin Cearley, Sam Adkisson and Roger Beckham.
