Mrs. Marilyn Ann Willis Briggs "MeMe" departed her earthly home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Wadley Regional Medical Center of Hope, AR with her loved ones.
Marilyn was born on September 12, 1957 in Buckner, AR to the late Isaac C. Willis and Dollie V. Brown.
At an early age Marilyn united with the Mt. Ollie Freewill Baptist Church, Buckner, AR. Later in life after moving to Magnolia , she united with the Sweet Home Baptist church of Emerson, AR. Marilyn loved the Lord and she believed in praise and worship. She made sure that her grandchildren came to know and develop a relationship with Christ. she attended Stamps High School and was a proud alumni of the SHS Yellow jacket class of 1975. She studied General Business at SAU of Magnolia, AR. She was employed in the manufacturing industry for many years working at Alan White Company, Falcon Products and she
later took an early retirement from Tyson Foods of Nashville, AR. On August 25, 1988 she was united in holy matrimony to Donald Ray Briggs. Marilyn was a true example of a servant at heart, she was one that always put other first. If there was a sick family member or friend you could count on her to be right by their side. Her mission in life was to keep God at the head of her life and help others. Marilyn loved to attend church, work, laugh and entertain those in her company. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as fishing.

She was preceded in death by her father Isaac C. Willis, her mother and father Alfred and Dollie V. Wilson; paternal grandparents George and Exie Willis, her maternal grandparents, Lee Andrew and Mandy Brown; her sister Vickie Edwards.

After a fruitful and well spent life she leaves to cherish her unforgettable memory: three daughters Bridgette(Don) Robinson, Donna Willis (Lonnie Brooks) and Linda Nicole (Jermaine) Easter all of Magnolia, AR; two sons Corey Briggs and Marquis Briggs; thirteen grandchildren that she loved and adored. Special granddaughter LaStagsia Willis Jordan White, Dontavious Stone, Tyrese Wilson, Jaylon Young, Jeremiah Brooks, Beaunca Willis, Jermarion Willis, Shermaine Easter, Jermario Easter, London Robinson, Alona and Arianna Brooks all of Magnolia, AR; two sisters Patsy (Curtis)hughey of Camden, AR, Jackie Carter of Texarkana, AR; two brothers Jerry Willis of Portland, Oregon and Gary Willis of Benton, AR, her dear step-mother Shirley Willis (Momma Shirley). Marilyn has a special relationship with her family and leaves to cherish her memory, special aunt Christine Burks of Buckner, AR, special cousin Vanessa Anderson, Crystal Russell, Ebony Washington, Raymond Burks and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Special lifelong friend Truman Young of Waldo, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Smith Chapel with Rev. Chester Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Buckner Community Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home of Stamps from 11 a.m. until 5p.m.
