Marion "Sonny Boy" Higdon, age 85 of McNeil, Arkansas, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Higdon was born in Taylor, Arkansas on April 17, 1933 to the late Guy and Lucy Higdon.

Mr. Higdon was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Higdon; son, Travis Blackwell; infant daughter, Kathrine Higdon; two sisters, Cleo Gaulden and Doris Harris; and one brother, Wayne Higdon.

He is survived by two sons, Guy Higdon and wife, Megan of Carbondale, PA and Donnie Higdon and wife, Beth of Archbald, PA; four daughters, Nancy Styer and husband, Scott of Taylor, AR; Carolyn Parker and husband, Mickey; Janie Brown and husband, David; and Judy Blackwell of McNeil, AR; three sisters, Shirley Haire and Diane Fletcher of Lewisville, AR and Wanda Chesshir of Taylor, AR; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Forest Grove Cemetery in Taylor, AR with Rev. Gladney Hunt officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 until noon on Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home on Thomas Street in Stamps, AR. Honoring Mr. Higdon as pallbearers will be Jeff Chesshir, Pinkie Sanders, Neal Fletcher, Bo Harris, Mark Smith and Steve Martin.
