Born March 4, 1927 in Stamps, Arkansas to parents Dallas and Nena Minter Kuykendall, passed into eternal rest on February 7, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas at age 90.

Services will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Arkansas on February 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM with burial following at Liberty Cemetery.

Helen, as she was always known, is preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Nena Kuykendall, husband, William W. (Bill) Sparrow, 3 brothers, Ray, Jerry and Edward Kuykendall and 1 sister, Jean Wilson.

Helen attended Stamps High School, graduating in the 1944/45 class at mid-term due to the war. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Stamps, having joined as a teenager. Helen has since been a member of Eastfield Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas for more than 20 years.

Helen was a daughter, sister, wife, caring mother and beloved grandmother. She loved her church family and friends and the Lord. Her courage and spirit were an inspiration to all she met. She had a gift and shared it with everyone she met. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.

Helen is survived by: 2 sons and 2 daughter in laws - Don and Char Sparrow and Michael and Vicki Sparrow, 2 grandsons - Michael and Brian Sparrow, 1 step grandson, James Ledenham, 2 granddaughters and 2 grandson in laws - Christie and Sean Partee and Liz and Steve Miller, 3 Great grandsons - Devin Adams, Jason Adams and Dylan Miller. She is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sister in laws - Billy and Carolyn Kuykendall and Darrell and Francis Kuykendall as well and many nieces and nephews.
