Martha Joy (McKamie) Beatty, 70, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 30th, 2024, in Texarkana, Texas, surrounded by her family. Martha was born in Hope, Arkansas to the late Denton Luther and Euna Bea (Lee) McKamie on July 12th, 1954. Her middle name, Joy, was very fitting for her, as she brought so much of it to those of us that knew and loved her. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a love for cooking and always enjoyed preparing meals for others. She took great pride in her flowers and plants and loved to sit out on her back patio to enjoy them. Martha enjoyed music and liked dancing in the kitchen. She also found enjoyment decorating her home for the different seasons and holidays. However, Christmas was her favorite and she was known to go above and beyond when decorating to spend special time with her family. Martha will be missed by many.

Martha is survived by her husband of 22 years, John Beatty; son Todd Williamson (Kelli) of Texarkana, Texas; daughters, Nicki Duncan (Trent) of Haughton, Louisiana; Rachel Nash (Nathan) of Soldotna, Alaska; grandchildren, P.J., Bralynn, Jordan, Keighley, Katherine, Kinsey, Gage, Wyndham, Ender, and Escher; two brothers, Rodney McKamie (Lavon) of Lewisville, Arkansas, and Richard McKamie (Diane) of Stephens, Arkansas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene McKamie.

Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Wilson Cemetery, in Lewisville, Arkansas with Rev. Tim Rushing officiating. Interment will follow. Services under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
