Martha Elizabeth "Liz" Umphries, 60, of Springhill, Louisiana passed away on October 26, 2022, at Springhill Post-Acute Memory Care Center. Liz was born on February 1, 1962, to Tonnie Milton Umphries and Zettie Virginia (Dennis) Umphries in Taylor, Arkansas. Some of Elizabeth's pastimes she enjoyed in life was helping with Bible School and her bucket gardening. She enjoyed listening to music especially Gospel music. Liz loved her Arkansas Razorbacks and New Orlean Saints. When she was younger, she babysat lots of children that she called her own. Liz was a faithful member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Tonnie Milton and Zettie Virginia Umphries.

Liz is survived by numerous cousins, friends, and extended family.

Funeral services for Elizabeth will be at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Brother John Nations officiating assisted by Brother Joseph Stacks, under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Stateline Cemetery to follow

Pallbearers will be John Daniel Nations, Josh Nations, Rodney Wise, Robert Gildon, Galen Hudgeons, Cole Bailey, Jared Pickett and Chris Tingle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Umphries, Johnny Dennis and Bobby Johnston
