Martiel Thomas, age 100, of Buckner, Arkansas passed away July 14, 2019 at The Waters of Stamps.  She was born November 18, 1918 to Mr. and Mrs. Watson. Martiel loved sewing, quilting, being involved in church and raising her farm animals.

Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Thomas; twin brother, Marvin Watson; two other brothers, Conway and Jack Watson; sister, Nell Elledge; five nephews, Kenneth, Anthony, Joe, Will Elledge, Marvin Watson, Jr.; and niece, Paulette Kerr.

She is survived by two nieces, Joyce Robins and husband Don and Ruth Elledge; one nephew, Eddie Kerr.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Royce Vines officiating.  Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes.  Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm prior to service.
