Mary Selma Bethany, 97, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away December 5, 2021. She was born July 22, 1924 in Walker Creek, Arkansas to Jasper and Gena Barnes Lewis. Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and sewing.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Bethany, Jr.; parents, Jasper and Gena Lewis; brothers, Herbert and Donnie Lewis; sisters, Deo Vaughn and Cleo Brandon.

She is survived by her son, Alexander Bethany, III; daughter, Gena Rollo both of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Robert Rollo, Alexa Inman (Neil), Ashley Boulaudon (Mo), Alexander C. Bethany (Crystal), Joseph Bethany (Christine); great grandchildren, Daven Sipe, Bethany Rollo, Allie, Kyndal and Finn Bethany, Leila and Salma Boulaudon, Kari Lee and Conner Smith; grandchildren of the heart, Bryan Matthew Clark, Loni, Paylan and Caleb Priester, Michael, Jennifer and John Pope, Ian, Grace and Will Coyer; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Randy Brandon, Rodney Brandon, Robert Brandon, Reagan Brandon, Jim Haynes and Bill Coyer. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert H. Rollo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00P.M. at Forest Grove Church with Bro. Joseph Stacks officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery. No visitation.
