Layvone Lane, 87 of Taylor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1937 in Walker Creek, Arkansas to Elbert Napoleon and Bessie Effie Keith. Layvone was Assembly of God but attended Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading the Bible and devotionals, doing word puzzles, watching Gunsmoke and family visits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marshal Jerry Lane. One son, Marvin Lane. One brother, Elvis Keith. Three sisters, Marvelene Whitley, Easter Mae Perry and Caraway Carter.

She is survived by Three daughters, Mary Boyett (Mike) of Taylor, Arkansas, Martha Merrill (George) of Texarkana, Texas and Marvajean Joslin (Mark) of Minden, Louisiana. One son Marshal Jerry Lane Jr. (Sherry) of Taylor, Arkansas. One brother Delbert Keith (Dorothy) of Haskell, Arkansas. Two sisters, Della Faye Denmon of Bossier City, Louisiana and Loucille Martin (James) of Springhill, Louisiana. Ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Funeral services will be held 2P.M. Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Ty Boyett and Bro. Chet Johnson officiating under direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Walker Creek, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held from 12P.M. until 2P.M. Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas.
