Mary Ruth Reeves McCommon, age 88, of Texarkana, Arkansas, formerly of Buckner, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 11,2014 at a Texarkana Nursing Home. She was born on July 3, 1925 in Buckner, Arkansas to Ben and Ruth Fincher Eddy.

Mrs. McCommon was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Curtis Reeves; Second Husband, Lawrence McCommon; Son, Jerry W. Reeves; Sister, Doris E. Reeves

She is survived by her Son, Joel Reeves and wife Mattie of Buckner; Seven Grandchilden; Nine Great-Grandchildren; Special Friend, Vicky Land of Texarkana, Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Leland Calloway officiating. Interment will follow at the Buckner Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014, at the funeral home in Stamps. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Buckner Memorial Cemetery Association.
