Jean Phillips, age 85, of Stamps, Arkansas, closed her eyes here on earth and opened them to see the face of Jesus on Monday, February 17, 2020 in a Taylor, Arkansas nursing home.
Mrs. Phillips was born September 13, 1934, in Waldo, Arkansas, to William and Mary Lindsey. She was retired from White and Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Buddy" Phillips, one son, Joe Wesley Phillips and one grandson, Braedyn Morse.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Jones, of Azle, Texas, Janice Cunningham, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Nita Strange and husband, Phillip, of Stamps, Arkansas, one son, Mark Phillips of Stamps, Arkansas, one brother, Wilbur Lindsey, of Yarmouth, Maine, 11 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and other friends and family.
Pallbearers will be Mark Phillips, Steven Jones, Stetson Gildon, Kash Keith, Clint Phillips and Gary Plumley. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Jones, John Jones and James Cunningham.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at A.O. Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
