Mary Sue Nix, age 88, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. Mrs. Nix was born June 16, 1925, in Stamps to John and Ina Thomas. She was a life-long resident of Stamps, member of First Baptist Church in Stamps, and a homemaker and shopkeeper. Mrs. Nix was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Norman Nix.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Nix and wife, Nancy of Stamps, AR; daughter, Cynthia Hester and husband, Harold Keys of Little Rock, AR; grandsons, Jake Nix of Stamps, AR, and John Nix of Clarksville, AR; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family would like to send a special thanks to the caring staff at Homestead Manor in Stamps.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Mickey May officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until service time on December 31, 2013.
