Mary Joyce Taylor, 92, of Lowell, Arkansas, formerly of Taylor, AR,  passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Rogers, AR.  She was born September 16, 1929 in Taylor, AR to Homer and Ruby Pearl (Tompkins)  Gordon.  Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church Taylor.  She enjoyed sports and was a loyal fan of the Taylor Tigers, especially Tiger basketball.  Mrs. Taylor also enjoyed playing Rook and Canasta where she treasured the games she played with many of her dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Taylor; son, Robert William "Bill" Taylor; daughter-in-law, Vickie Taylor;  brothers,  William Homer Gordon, Marian Gordon, Noel Gordon, Howard Gordon, and Eugene Gordon; and sisters, Regina Bergan and Johnnie Glass.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by son, Charles Taylor of  Lowell, AR; daughter, Donna Hanson and husband James of Highfill, AR; grandchildren, Shannon Freshwater and husband Dave, Jennifer Benson and husband Wayne, Kasey Hanson and wife Jenny, and Sarah Hanson; great-grandchildren,  Will Voigt, Taylor Voigt, Charlie Benson, Sawyer Hanson, and Finley Hanson; special nieces, Toni Taylor and Janice Cromien; and long-time special friends, Jurd Weeks and Jackie Linzy.

Honoring Mrs. Taylor as pallbearers are Ronnie Thomas, Douglas Collier, Bobby Jackson, Kasey Hanson, Dave Freshwater, and Wayne Benson.  Honorary pallbearers are Jurd Weeks, Richard Thomas, and Dalton Allison.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 1:00P.M. at Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, AR, with Bro. Chris Lucy officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, AR.

Memorials may be made to the Youth Fund at the First Baptist Church of Taylor.
